Designations

You may have noticed initials after the names of REALTORS on their ads, web-sites and cards. If you have ever wondered what they mean, you are not alone. They are Designations which indicate that additional training has been sought and accomplished by these agents.

Here are the Designations I have earned:

Graduate Realtor Institute:

Graduates of the REALTOR Institute, GRIs have far exceeded what it takes to just sell real estate; they are prepared to perform at the highest level of professionalism, with a keen understanidng of the transaction and what it takes to help you achieve your goals. With extensive training in finance, negotiations, marketing, pricing property, legal issues, construction and enviromental concerns, real estate investment and ethics, GRIs guide you through the buying or selling process while representing your interests to the fullest. Only members of the REALTOR association who are committed to adhering to a strict code of ethics can use the term REALTOR and only REALTORS can earn the GRI desgination.

Senior Real Estate Specialist:

It has been reported that in five years 40% of the U.S. population will be age 55 or older. By earning the SRES Designation, I have demonstrated an understanding that this demographics has very specialized needs when it comes to purchasing and selling property. This course has given me the formidable baseline to serve the needs of these consumers.

RSPS: Resort and Second Home Specialist:

Resort and second home specialists have received specialized training and experience in meeting the demands of one of the largest growing market, second home purchases. A REALTOR specializing in resort and second home markets facilitates the buying, selling, or management of properties for investment, development, retirement, or second homes in a resort, recreational and/or vacation destination. They have unique training in 1031 tax exchanges, tax benefits and marketing.
